i don’t want to … anymore
i don’t want to see people losing their families and freedom simplify because they look a particular way
i don’t want to sit in ever growing traffic because some b/millionaires want asses in seats to justify their real estate portfolios are worth more than dirt
i don’t want to continue losing nature to fire, flooding, privatization, and whatever else
i don’t want to be told that using a shitty paper straw instead of a plastic one, is somehow going to save the world
i don’t want to be told gas price increases are only temporary when we all know they’re never going back
i don’t want to see photos of children crying because they’ve lost their family in the latest bombing of [insert latest bombed city here]
… anymore

tech buying flow chart
this is now my flow chart for buying new tech. no more getting that new thing, no more wanting that one new small feature. follow the chart!
is the thingy broken? | yes --> buy new thingy | no >> are there features you really really need? as in it'll change your life??? | no --> keep using your current thingy | yes >> are you sure? | no --> keep using your current thingy | yes --> wait 2 weeks then go back to the top and if you end up here again, buy itpast memorable decisions

- hindsight: correct decision. better to continue using and also reduce phone usage
- upgrade from iphone 13pro -> 16pro

- reasoning: avoid having to have a separate subscription for satellite sos
- hindsight: correct decision, no longer paying for garmin inreach, saving over $100/yr
- upgrade personal macbook air (m1, 2020) to m4
- decision: no upgrade
- reasoning:
- hindsight: correct decision, not hindered on anything
- get new handheld vacuum
- decision: got new one
- reasoning: old vacuum battery dying, replacement cost high
- hindsight: correct decision, old vacuum barely runs 5 seconds before turning off
- upgrade from iphone 16pro -> 17 (non-pro)
